Collingwood Community Hub

In 2016 Community Connection began working with the Rotary Club of Collingwood on the development of a Community Hub in the Saunders Building on Campbell Street in Collingwood.

The Hub will provide permanent and part-time office and shared space to multiple NGOs, and offer community rooms and green space for groups and collaboratives working on community initiatives.  The Hub will act as a catalyst to develop local projects and activities that improve services for Collingwood residents.

In 2002 Community Connection established the Community Resource Centre in multiple rental units at 275 First Street.  At its peak the operation grew to 9,500 square feet and housed 20 full and part time tenants and groups.  The model which provides a central point of access to community and social services, and sharing overhead and administration costs will underpin the Community Hub operating model.
